270 Chromatic Replacement Comb No longer available. Please see
the new 270 and 280 comb pages
Until I can redo the molds for higher accuracy these will no longer be
available.
Combs
are a molded plastic, they are post cured to incerease their
durability, and they can be molded in different colors so if you have
more than one you can get different colored combs for each. The harp
shown below is my test harp. It was sent to me by a friend to
experiment with as it had a cracked comb in it. Replacement of the comb
is a fairly easy project but one that will require some work on the
part of the person assembling the harp. The reedplate holes will need
to be enlarged to allow the 2-56 screws to be used. The comb has
stainless steel nuts embedded into the plastic so that the screws have
a secure anchor point. There is also a seperate nut for each of the
coverplate screws, allowing the user to remove only the coverplate they
need to.
Please download the assembly guide
before purchasing, it will give you an idea of what is involved when
using this comb.Download Here
