Johnny Ace

" Hi, My name is Johnny, some of you might know me as Johnny Ace. I build custom mics for harmonica players all around the world. I have been a player for 37 years now. I have  played and built many different styles of harmonica microphones. I know all about the tone as well as what Chicago, Mississippi, sax, and harmonica players look for. In a nutshell, Chris' very hard and durable plastic shell is absolutely incredible. The best thing is that it did not effect the tone whatsoever. Very easy to drill out and install your element of choice.

Thanks again Chris for this wonderfull product and can't wait to see what you're working on next.  Johnny A.C.E "

"   I've been playing amplified blues harp for something like 40 years, and I've used just about every type of mic available during that time.  I've found that I'm most comfortable using any mic with the traditional bullet shape to get my sound.  The only drawback has been that in using one of these mics for the duration of a 3 hour+ gig, sometimes more than one gig in a 24 hour period, the weight of the mic can get to be something of a strain on the wrist.

Chris Reynolds has solved that problem for me.  His new plastic mic shell and grille is molded to the exact specifications of a traditional bullet, and it''s unbelievably light in weight. It can be loaded with any type of element using a standard gasket.  Install a Switchcraft connector and paint it in your favorite color scheme, and you will have a unique, durable, dependable mic that will not only be comfortable to play for hours but will possibly help you improve your tone.  This item gets my highest recommendation.  Thanks, Chris.  It's definitely a "goodun", as King Biscuit Boy (Richard Newell) would say, if he was still with us."
